My video was very different then what I had intended to do.
When I typed my statement of intent I did not know we had to incorporate our
capstone projects into them. I thought that we can do our PSA on anything.
After I understood, I was going to incorporate my family in my video and use
actors to speak out everything. The story boards we had to do for the class
helped me a lot gave me kind of like a check list. When I wanted to begin
shooting, my family and I seemed to never be able to pick a time to be able to
shoot. Whenever they could I would be busy and vice versa. Then my friend
informed me that we are allowed to use Prezi’s and turn it into a video. The
easiest part was making the Prezi, which took me about seven minutes. Also, the
voice recording was easy but I kept messing up. Looking back, I would have
liked to add more into my videos. For example, pictures or music to keep the
audience entertained.

Money impacts our lives on a daily need. For some its trying to make it to the end of the month without going over budget. While others do not stress over money. Many children are diagnosed with speech disability by their very first word. Of course, parents can hire a speech therapist to help the child recover and become better. At the same time, speech therapy is very expensive. Unless you have Medicaid, which everything is covered by them.
For some parents, they do not have medicaid nor can they afford speech therapy. Where do they stand? How do they help the child? Some parents push off speech therapy until they can save up while other just give up and cannot afford it. My solution for capstone is to create a kit that is inexpensive where parents can buy it and implant it to their kids.
For my PSA video, I want to make parents to go ask their doctors about it. For example, when a new drug is released they discuss what it does and its effect. Then they tell the audience go ask professionals about it. My PSA video is going to show what the child struggle and then have a professional discuss alternatives, where they discuss my solution.
